Position Description:Candidate will perform on-site construction inspection services for a railroad facility electrical and communication system project in New York City. The project includes conduit installation, steel framing, electrical and communication wire pulling, device installation, finish work, system integration, testing and commissioning within an operating railroad environment. Ideal candidate will be responsible for daily observation of contractor activities, record keeping, problem detection, issue resolution and quality control services. The candidate will perform the quality control measures required and construction inspection in a field office as a representative for a railroad client. Candidate shall have a comprehensive understanding of safety practices on an operating railroad and have proper certifications or is immediately capable of acquiring the necessary safety certifications, including but not limited to OSHA 10 hour and Track Safety. Position may parlay into other Rail and Transit opportunities for the firm

Job Requirements:Candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in construction, quality/inspection and engineering; preferably on railroad projects including electrical and communication control systems. A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field is desired. Candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidate shall have experience working with Microsoft Office software.
