Research Programs Associate
Position Summary
Under direction, provides administrative and program support to the research programs within the department
Job Responsibilities
+ Responsible for procurement activities related to goods, services, and/or equipment as needed.
+ Responsible for disbursement/reimbursement activities as needed.
+ Generates reports for analysis.
+ Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment and/or reagents. May order supplies/equipment/reagents as authorized or ensure that needs are escalated appropriately. Receives supply orders and confirms accuracy of delivery. May assist with cost control.
+ Coordinates calendars and schedules appointments and meetings. Prioritizes requests for meetings and coordinates the necessary arrangements for meetings.
+ Maintains electronic and hard copy files and databases. Maintains integrity of information.
+ May assist with the development and implementation of the general and project-related budgeting process.
+ Assists with the creation, organization, evaluation and development of research programs and studies.
+ May assist in the identification and completion of grants and other funding sources for research programs and studies.
+ Completes regulatory paperwork to ensure appropriate documentation of research activities.
+ Assists in the development of research study materials and program information.
+ Organizes and maintains study forms, documents and applications for regulatory purposes.
+ Coordinates research programs and studies, ensuring there is appropriate staff coverage, adequate space and adequate promotion of program or study.
+ Assists in analyzing current program components and ensuring that study designs adhere to Institutional Review Board (IRB), HIPAA and other relevant guidelines.
+ May participate in screening of potential research subjects, ensuring that subjects meet appropriate criteria.
+ May coordinate visits from external collaborators/visitors. Manages housing arrangements, itineraries, and travel arrangements.
+ Answers inquiries about research protocols.
