_VP, General Manager, Pharma & Life Sciences_

Conduent is conducting a search for a highly experienced, senior level General Manager for the Pharma & Life Sciences business. In the Pharma & Life Sciences business, we help clients launch and maintain drug brands by supporting every phase of a pharmaceutical product's lifecycle. We have one goal in mind: to help with deploying more drugs quicker and more profitably. We help clients brand, deploy and sell drugs across the whole patent lifecycle consistently, regardless of location.

Role and Responsibilities

+ Manage Global Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility of $125MM for Pharma & Life Sciences Industry including revenue forecasting and margin (EBIT) improvement

+ Create Pharma & Life Sciences Industry strategic plan including financial plans and go-to-market strategies that leverage global delivery capabilities, solutions and offerings

+ Manage Pharma & Life Sciences Industry Client Partners and work in-line with sales industry leaders focused on increasing revenues from existing and new customers.

+ Manage organization within a matrixed model, developing strong relationships with sales, delivery, and technology

+ Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key customers in order to close new and incremental business; conduct pre-proposal marketing with current and prospective clients

+ Guide the strategy, design, delivery, value proposition, and management of Pharma & Life Sciences suite of solutions, including points of integration across Conduent healthcare and into new markets.

+ Drive innovation in new and existing capabilities, play a crucial role in identifying new markets to enter.

+ Review operational results regularly and take necessary actions to meet and exceed P&L, EBIT, and sales quotas

+ Escalation point between customers and matrix conflicts

+ Define and maintain Pharma & Life Sciences short-term and long-term product roadmap.

+ Evaluation of acquisition and partnership opportunities.

+ Assure a modern, effective, and efficient Product Lifecycle.Qualifications and Education Requirements _Experience Required_

+ Requires a high level of credibility and excellent reputation as an Industry services expert.

+ A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience leading and managing a healthcare services business, preferably P&L responsibility of at least $125MM.

+ Experience launching and operating patient support, specialty reimbursement hub and patient access programs

+ Proven leadership ability to recruit, attract, retain and manage a team of direct reports and a global employee population

+ An excellent reputation of partnering with internal constituents, partners and other service providers

+ A proven track record of managing a sales team, sales pipeline and a track record of structuring deals that meet financial objectives and migrate U.S. workforce to international offshore locations

+ A track record of achieving aggressive business and operational goals within a matrix environment

+ Strong organizational skills; the ability to create an effective strategy; the passion to direct, organize, prioritize, and motivate a team around that strategy and vision

+ A demonstrated open, collaborative leadership style; capable of inspiring a team despite the changing opportunities dictated by the client environment, the services industry, and internally within Conduent

+ Strong customer references; a successful record of managing and enhancing client relationships


+ Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
